Flys

3rd August
In the summer flys bother every horse and pony. There are many ways to keep the flys away like fly spray, fly mask etc. Normal house flys don,t suck blood but they like the eye gunk that collects around the horses eyes and that irritates the horse. I think the best thing to help your horse with flys is a fly mask, a fly mask that clips onto the bridle for riding and a little bit of fly spray or fly gel for around the eyes.

Horses Hooves

2nd August
Watch out in the summer as the grass starts to grow you will need to keep your horse on low grass if you have a laminitick pony/horse. LAMINITIS is when a pony gets to much good grass and starts to go lame then if nothing is done to stop it the peeddle bone will start to come thought the hooves this will be extremely painful for the pony!
